How to style the high pony from laquan smith’s nyfw ss22 runway show

Fashion designer LaQuan Smith brought sexy back to his New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2022 runway. LaQuan—known for his creative approach to structuring feminine and form-fitting ensembles—asked Unilever Global Stylist and celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway to create select hairstyles that played up each runway model’s unique hair texture.

Inspired by LaQuan’s innovative vision and sleek aesthetic, Lacy led a team of hairstylists to create this glossy, slicked back High Pony with sculpted baby hairs laid around the crown. STEP 1

Start by applying Extra Hold Mousse and Flawless Curls Defining Cream throughout dry hair to help define the natural texture of the hair and enhance the body of the individual strands.

STEP 2

Once product is applied throughout the hair, rough dry hair while adding a two-strand twist throughout to further enhance texture.

STEP 3

Once completely dry, spray TRES TWO Extra Hold Hair Spray on a flat brush and scoop the hair into a ponytail, securing with an elastic.

STEP 4
